The basic idea…
After a wonderful trip to Scotland, we wondered how to make a pretty, useful tartan library and make it available to everyone. Initially, we had found some nice books that included the tartans of all the clans, but considering the number, it seemed like a daunting and difficult task.

optimizing the process…
Tartanify.com is a static site, built with gatsby.js. It uses a CSV file for the content. The CSV file contains the name of each pattern, its color palette, its “threadcount” and the link to its page in the official register. This data comes from the Scottish Register of Tartans.
